Biography
Boris Vladimirovich Ermolaev was born on June 15, 1938 in Almaty. In 1955-1957 studied at the First Medical Institute in Leningrad, since 1957 - at the acting department of VGIK. In 1963 he graduated (defended in 1968) directing faculty (workshop of Grigory Kozintsev and S. Skvortsov). He co-wrote the script of several of his own films, as well as the short story “Angel” from the movie “The Beginning of an Unknown Century” (directed by Andrei Smirnov ). In the mid-1990s, he emigrated to Montreal.
