Biography
He spent his childhood in Yakutia .
In 1959 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation , and by distribution he came to work at the Institute of Automation and Electrometry (IAEE) of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences .
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1965). Head of Laboratory, Deputy Director for Science.
In 1980, he moved to the Computing Center of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences as a deputy director for scientific work, one of the founders of the Design Bureau of Computer Engineering, which he headed in 1986.
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1988).
He was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1990). From 1991 to 1993 - Deputy Chairman of the SB RAS for design and production and commercial (innovative) activities.
From 1993 to 2002 - Director of the IAEE.
Rewards
S. T. Vaskov was awarded two orders of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order of the Badge of Honor. [one]
Memory
He was buried in the Southern cemetery of Novosibirsk.
