Biography
Born on March 18 ( 30 March ) in 1899 in Rostov (now the Yaroslavl Region ) in the family of a merchant of I guild, hereditary honorary citizen . He graduated from high school (1917, with a gold medal) and the Moscow State Technical University named after N. E. Bauman , Faculty of Chemistry (1920-1926). Pupil A. M. Bochvar .
In 1926-1930 he worked at the Osoavihim plant.
In 1930–1931 he was an assistant chief engineer, in 1931–1946 the main metallurgist of the USSR’s first plant for the production of semi-finished products of light alloys (Plant No. 95) in Moscow, since 1941 - in evacuation in Verkhnyaya Salda ( Sverdlovsk Region ). He was engaged in the issues of melting and metal forming, the influence of the composition and heat treatment on the properties of alloys. One of the founders and creators of the production of aluminum and magnesium alloys in the USSR.
For extraordinary scientific research in 1938 he was awarded the degree of candidate of technical sciences without defending a thesis.
In 1946-1953, deputy director and head. Department of MATI .
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1944), professor .
He died in 1953 . He was buried in Moscow at the Armenian cemetery .
Memory
The streets in Verkhnyaya Salda and Krasnoyarsk are named in his honor (Green Grove microdistrict [1] ).
