Description
The length of the working ants is 2.8 - 3.8 mm, the length of the head is 0.76 - 0.88 mm (width 0.74 - 0.84 mm). The main body color is brown. The anterior part of the clypeus is rounded and convex. Mandibles are armed with 5 teeth (which differs from all African species of their kind, as a rule, having 4 teeth). Propodeum with long lard. The dorsum of the petiol is unarmed, without teeth. Postpetiol in profile wide, nodular. Antennae 9-segmented with a mace of 3 apical segments. Maxillary palps 5-segmented, mandibular palps of 3 segments. The chest is high, the pronotum is merged with the mesonotum, forming a single scleritis. The stalk between the breast and the abdomen consists of two segments: petiolus and postpetiolus (the latter is clearly separated from the abdomen), the sting is developed, pupae are naked (without cocoon) [1] [2] .
