Biography
Born May 15, 1934 in Prague on Zizkov .
As a child, he sang in the choir, studied at school. After the Second World War he participated in the performances of the Prague Youth Theater.
In 1953 he graduated from the Theater Department at the Prague Academy of Music and in the same year was invited to the City Theater of the city of Most . In 1954-1959 he worked as an actor in the Prague theater Emil Burian . In 1959-1975 he played on the stage of the People’s Theater. For many years he was a member of the troupe of the Musical Theater in Karlin , later he took part in the musicals of the Prague Theater "Broadway Theater" [2] .
In 1948 he made his film debut in the episodic role of the detective film directed by Vaclav Gayer [3] [4] - “Club Three” (“Křížová trojka”). He starred in the 1968 film “ Shield and Sword ” in the role of the Slovak Jaromir Drobny, a member of the battle group. He became widely known for his leading role in the Czechoslovak detective serial television television movie " Thirty Cases of Major Zeman ."
He died on September 1, 2017 in the Czech Republic [5] .
Rewards
- In 1980, Vladimir Brabets was awarded the title of Honored Artist.
- In 1998, he received the Frantisek Filippovsky award for excellence in dubbing.
