Architecture
The building was built in pseudo-Russian style by the architect P.G. Begen . The building is brick, has a plan of an elongated rectangle, two-story, with a high four-sloped roof. Area - 10.85 x 25.60 m; height to the eaves - 12 m. In front of the main entrance there is a porch with a balcony on a vaulted ceiling resting on four pillars. The interfloor belt, cornice and platbands are made of molded profiled brick. In the widths located on the ledge, on the corner vanes and in the piers of the windows of the second floor (along the main facade), colored tiles are inserted.
There are four dormers on the roof (along the main facade) and a pediment with figured completion from the main entrance. On the pediment is lined with brick: "1900, VAK." Below, on the ledge: “Museum”. A metal openwork lattice is installed on the ridge of the roof. The gutter is carried out through pipes of complex configuration. The ceiling of the lower floor is wooden, flat with support on a round metal pillar in the center of the hall, the ceiling of the upper floor is vaulted. The floors are connected by a grand two-flight staircase.
