RTS Board History

The system was put into operation on February 15, 2001, operated by the Association of Financial Market Participants "Nonprofit Partnership for the Development of the RTS Financial Market ( Association" NP RTS " ). The purpose of the platform was to increase the liquidity of securities by attracting the attention of professional investors to promising tools. Thus, issuers were given the opportunity to “present” their securities to the professional investment community for their further promotion, as well as the opportunity to withdraw to exchange trading .

The RTS Board information system announces indicative quotes, which are formed from the list of financial instruments allowing to include: precious metal coins, interbank loans, securities of Russian and foreign issuers, investment units and other money market instruments.

In 2014, an active modernization of the project and the transfer of the system to a new technological platform began. This was due to the need of the Russian stock market for new services, the inability to upgrade the old platform software from 1998, as well as the legislatively relevant relevance of issues related to the control of OTC operations.

The project of the modernized platform was announced as an end-to-end system that includes several sectors of the financial market , which allows you to make and accompany an over-the-counter transaction at all stages of the life cycle from the establishment of a quote to the generation and sending of reports to authorized regulatory bodies. The system implemented the functionality of signing electronic contracts with financial instruments with the subsequent ability to automatically report to the repository, to exchanges and other executive bodies.

The leadership of the NP RTS Association announced the launch of new market sectors in the RTS Board. So, from April 2016, the money market (interbank loan market), fixed-income instruments (corporate bonds and Eurobonds) and precious metal coins became available in the system.
