The Chelyuskin Peninsula is the northern part of the Taimyr Peninsula [1] deep in the sea, in the north of the Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenets) District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of Russia . The peninsula is located between the Kara and Laptev seas, the southern border of the peninsula runs along the Gafner Fjord bay, the Leningradskaya , Zhdanova and Faddey rivers and the Fadday bay . In the north of the peninsula is located Cape Chelyuskin - the northernmost continental point of Eurasia , Russia and the World.

Geography
The area of the peninsula is about 16.000 km². The relief is presented in the form of several plateaus and low mountains. The highest point is Oktyabrskaya, located in the southeast of the peninsula with a height of 371 m. In the east of the peninsula, the bays of Theresa Klavenes and Sims deeply penetrate. The peninsula is occupied predominantly by the polar desert, with sparsely encountered sections of tundra .
Climate
The climate of the Arctic peninsula is marine with frequent winds and summer frosts.
