Biography
Pereyaslav was married to Prince Zemovit in 1248, as a sign of the union between him and her father Daniel, which they concluded against the Yotvyag bothering them.
In December 1254, Zemovit’s brother Casimir I Kuyavsky , fearing that he, in alliance with the Teutonic Order, would encroach on his lands, captured Zemovit and Pereyaslav when they returned from Krakow to celebrate the canonization of St. Stanislav Schepanovsky . They were imprisoned in the castle in Sieradz .
It was possible to free them only the next year after the intervention of the Polish king Boleslaw V the Shy and a number of other rulers, in exchange for a promise to support Casimir in the war against Svyatopolk II Pomeransky .
In June 1262, the troops of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Mindovg captured Uyazdov , where Zemovit was with his eldest son Konrad . Traitors from among the townspeople let the enemies in, and in the ensuing turmoil of the battle Zemovit was killed. There is also a version that he was executed by order of his brother Pereyaslav Shvarn Danilovich . Konrad was captured and taken to Lithuania, from where he returned only in 1264.
Their youngest son, Boleslav II , became the new Mazovian prince, and Pereyaslav remained with him as regent, along with the prince of Great Poland Boleslav Nabozhny , an ally of Zemovit I of Mazovia.
Children
Zemovit and Pereyaslavl had three children:
- Conrad II (c. 1250 - June 23 / October 21, 1294 ), Prince of Mazowiecki ;
- Boleslav II (after 1251 - April 20, 1313 ), Prince of Mazowiecki;
- Salome (d. 1301 ), nun.
