A strip line is a transmission line , which is a radio waveguide for transmitting electromagnetic waves in an air or other dielectric medium along two or more conductors in the form of thin strips and plates.
Distinguish strip line types
- symmetric (electromagnetic waves of the TEM type propagate );
- asymmetric lines or microstrip lines (electromagnetic waves of the quasi-TEM type propagate).
Microstrip line | Symmetrical strip line |
Key Options
- wave impedance
- attenuation coefficient per unit length
Application
- Meissner High Frequency Transformer
