Cavalry General ( German: General der Kavallerie ) - the military rank of general of the cavalry in the Armed Forces of Germany ( German Imperial Army , Reichswehr , Wehrmacht ), as well as in the army of Austria-Hungary . In the Wehrmacht, the rank of cavalry general was in seniority between lieutenant general and colonel general .
It was part of the group of military ranks " general of the armed forces ", and corresponded to the following ranks:
- Infantry general ;
- Artillery general ;
- General of the tank forces ;
- General of parachute troops ;
- General of the Mountain Infantry ;
- General Aviation ;
- General of Engineering Troops ;
- General of the communications forces .
