Biography

He graduated from high technical school, qualification master technician (in the early 1920s) and in 1929 - Kiev Polytechnic Institute .

In 1930 - 1995, he worked at the Yuri M. Sverdlov LSSZ in Leningrad: engineer, head of the boring machine bureau, chief designer from 1945 to 1975, and scientific consultant from 1975 to 1995.

Awards and Prizes

  • Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR (1965).
  • Stalin Prize of the third degree (1948) - for the creation of a new design of special machines
  • The Stalin Prize of the second degree (1951) - for the development of horizontal boring machines of domestic design.

Family

  • father - Chaim Berovich (Efim Borisovich) Elyasberg (1874-1942), from a wealthy Jewish Vilnius family, received university education and became a prominent figure in the Bund . Died of typhus in evacuation.
  • mother - Deborah Haimovna (nee Typographer), a graduate of Bestuzhev medical courses [1] . She was shot in Babi Yar .
