Biography
Swedish citizen. The son of a merchant. He attended a drawing school for volunteers (1841-1842). He attended classes at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1842-1846) under the guidance of Professor A. P. Bryullov . The title of non-class artist (1851). Given the title of academician of architecture (1858 ) for the project of the "large railway station . Having become an assistant to Professor G. A. Bosse , Anderson (1846-1849) was in the construction and interior decoration of several houses, at the same time being involved in the compilation of projects on which the buildings were built, under the direction of Bosse.
He served as an architect at the trusteeship committee of public charity institutions at the IV branch of His Majesty’s Chancellery (1864–1874), at the St. Petersburg City Administration (1874–1881).
Anderson composed several projects and produced up to 20 private buildings and many rebuilds. Main works: Swedish Lutheran Church of St. Catherine on Malaya Konyushennaya St. with houses belonging to her parish, an almshouse and a shelter of a German charity for 120 people, the Alexander branch at the Kalinka city hospital for 300 beds (on the Shlisselburg tract), the Russian church in Copenhagen, the mansion and the factory office of the Ludwig Nobel Mechanical Plant on Pirogovskaya nab . , 19 (rebuilt by R.
