History

Anomaly Group was founded in 2003 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Almost immediately, the group gained fame on the Kazakhstan stage. The songs got into rotation on the main Kazakhstan radio stations. In October 2004, in Astana, with the support of the Meloman company, the group presented their debut album, Joys of Scream. In 2005, the group performed at the Invasion 130 festival in Almaty. In the summer of 2006, the group conducted a tour of the cities of Kazakhstan together with the Russian group “ Night Snipers ” [1] .

The group gained fame in Russia after participating in the “ Invasion ” (2006) and “Megadrive” (2006, 2007) festivals [2] . In 2006, Vladimir Shakhrin (“ Chayf ”) in his book “Open Files” writes about “Anomaly” as one of the few interesting young groups [3] .

In 2007, with the support of Monolith and Megalainer, the Russian release of their debut album, Joys of Scream, took place. Then the soloist of the group Julia Syomina moved to Moscow, where she gathered a new composition [4] [5] . Songs from the album got into rotation on the radio stations “Silver Rain”, “Our Radio”, the video for the song “Sweetheart” began to be played on the TV channel “Muz-TV”. In the same year, the Anomaly group was awarded the title of laureate of the Kazakhstan Independent Public Prize Tarlan - “New Name - Hope” in the nomination “Music”, as musicians who successfully represent Kazakhstan on the Russian stage. [6]

The group began to actively perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but due to the busy schedule in 2008, Julia was forced to go on creative leave, periodically giving concerts in Russia and Kazakhstan.

At the end of 2011, the Moscow composition of the group was updated again - Alexey Maslakov, Vsevolod Ivanov, Igor Nikiforov joined Yulia Semina. The Anomaly group announced its return with a concert at the Moscow club SQUAT. In 2012, the group took part in the international music festival "Rock Hills" (Bryansk region). [7] [8]

Since the beginning of 2014, the group went on to record a new album and prepare a concert tour in Russia and Kazakhstan.

In June 2018, after a long break, the premiere of the new single "Melancholy" from the upcoming second album took place.

On January 1, 2019, the group presented on the network the second single “Girl” from the upcoming new album.

On April 25, 2019, the band’s second studio album, “I Can Wait,” was presented on streaming services.
