The 39th European Weightlifting Championship was held from September 29 to October 4, 1959 in Warsaw ( Poland ). 68 athletes from 15 countries took part in it. Athletes were divided into 7 weight categories and competed in eventing ( bench press , jerk and push ). This tournament was held as part of the 35th World Cup .
