Andrievsky, Alexander Nikolaevich

Alexander Nikolaevich Andrievsky ( February 11, 1899 , St. Petersburg - September 4, 1983 , Moscow ) - Soviet and Russian film and dubbing director, screenwriter, editor. Honored Artist of the RSFSR ( 1965 ). Member of the CPSU since 1920 [1] .

Biography

Alexander Andrievsky was born on February 11, 1899 in St. Petersburg. He studied at the philosophical and, simultaneously, physics and mathematics faculties of Petrograd University (1916-1918). He graduated from the Kharkov Higher Law Courses (1918), the drama studio at the Kharkov Theater N. Sinelnikov (1919), the academic department of the directing faculty of VGIK (1937). He served in the Red Army, worked as a military investigator. Along with S. Ivanov is the creator of stereo movies in the USSR. His film "Amusement Parade" is the first stereo film in the world according to the pointless method.
