Chikoy is a national park located on the territory of the Krasnochikoysky district of the Transbaikal Territory of Russia . The area of the park is 6664.68 km² (666 467.73 ha).

Creation History
The Chikoi National Nature Park was founded on February 28, 2014 by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 158. It was created with the aim of protecting cedar forests and the South Siberian taiga, with elements of mountain steppes and alpine meadows in the upper reaches of the Chikoi River. The park was created during the liquidation and, accordingly, with the inclusion of such environmental objectsː the Burkalsky nature reserve of federal significance and the Atzinsky nature reserve of regional importance .
Description
The national park is located on the Khentei-Daur Highlands in the upper reaches of the Chikoi River (Baikal Basin), and also includes the highest point of the Bystrinsky Golets massif (Barun-Shabartuy, 2519 m).
In addition to the Burkalsky and Atzinsky nature reserves included in its composition, the park also has such natural monuments (previously independent conservation objects) as Mount Bystrinsky Golets , rocky tract Lamsky Gorodok , Lake Shebetui .
Nature
Siberian pines (cedar) and common , Siberian cedar , fir , Siberian spruce , larch , mountain ash , elderberry , hawthorn , aromatic poplar , honeysuckle , lilac , onion , legume , sedge , cereals and others grow on the territory of the park.
On the territory of the park there are elk , wapiti , Siberian roe deer , wild boar , musk deer , bear , wolf , lynx , badger , sable , columns , squirrel , white hare , flying squirrel , capercaillie , hazel grouse , partridge , ducks , many species of passerines , bats , amphibians , reptiles and others.
