Biography
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Hawthorne graduated from South Birmingham College in Alabama, after which she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she began her career on the stage [1] . In the mid-1990s, she moved to New York, where she performed on the off-Broadway stage, as well as in the daily soap opera " All My Children " from 1994 to 1996 [2] . In 1997, she replaced Michelle Heard as Dana Kramer in the soap opera The Other World . Then she moved to prime time, where she appeared in Cosby, The Millennium , Beyond the Possible , Stargate: SG-1 , and Andromeda . In 1997-98, she performed in the Broadway musical "Life" [3] .
Hawthorne has appeared in dozens of television shows over her career. From 2000 to 2005, she starred on a regular basis in the Canadian procedural series " The investigation is conducted by Da Vinci ." She also had a secondary role in the Showtime series " Jeremiah " in 2002-2003. In 2006, she starred with Louis C. Kay in the short-lived HBO series Lucky Louis . In 2014, she had a minor role in the short-lived Fox series Rake. She also appeared in CSI: The Miami Crime Scene , Philadelphia Always Sunny , Private Practice , Rizzoli and Isles , Southland , Castle and Maritime Police: Los Angeles .
In 2015, Hawthorne received one of the leading roles in the Greenleaf series Oprah Winfrey Network [4] .
