Biography
Born in 1898 in the village of Balakhany near Baku.
Since 1916, he was an apprentice of a locksmith, since 1923, a driller, since 1928, a foreman, engineer for overhaul, since 1938, director of overhaul, since 1940, director of the Leninneft drilling department, Kirovneft drilling office , since 1945 - manager of the Buzovnaneft drilling office. Usta Baba Pir Mammad initiated the competition for frugality, the introduction of personal accounts for saving tools and material, actively participated in the dissemination of new methods of high-speed well drilling and rotary drilling. He participated in the development and commissioning of the Buzovna-Mashtaginsky oil district.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 8, 1948 for outstanding achievements in the reconstruction of the oil and gas industry of the USSR, a great contribution to improving the efficiency of production and product quality, Ust Baba Pir Mammad was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle ".
He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU since 1930 . Member of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR of the 4th convocation.
He died on March 26, 1957 in the city of Baku.
