Biography
Born on May 5, 1930 in the village of Novopavlovka, Orekhovsky District, Zaporozhye District, Ukrainian SSR (now Zaporozhye Region, Ukraine ).
She began her labor activity at the age of 13 - as an auxiliary worker on the collective farm. At the age of 17 she was sent to the Abkhaz ASSR to harvest citrus fruits. In 1948, working in the Kokhorsky State Farm of the Gali District , received a harvest from 440 fruit-bearing full-aged trees with 1,210 tangerines on average per tree.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 5, 1949 for obtaining high yields of high-quality green tea leaves and citrus fruits when the state farms fulfill the plan for delivering agricultural products to the state in 1948 and providing seeds for all crops in the amount of the total need for spring seva, Darya Dmitrievna Kushnerenko was given the title of Hero Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal " Hammer and Sickle " [1] .
She married and moved to Dneprodzerzhinsk . Since 1959, she worked here as a grinder at the Pravda newspaper car-building plant, and was a member of the regional and central committee of the trade unions of machine-building workers. She was elected a deputy of the Zavodskoy district council of the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk (1969–1985), a member of the Dnipropetrovsk regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine .
She died on April 3, 2015, at the age of 85 [2] .
