Born in Tucson, Arizona. He took part in the Spanish-American war. He began his acting career performing in vaudeville. From the moment of foundation, he worked in the film company Keystone Cops , starred in the numerous comedies of Mac Sennet . He was also the director of three paintings by Mac Sennet from 1914 to 1916. Since 1920, he worked at a film studio, where he starred in Baster Keaton 's film "General . "
