Native with. Novo-Pokrovsky Bogoroditsky district of the Tula region . He graduated from the seven-year plan in his native village and the vocational school in the city of Bolokhovo. He worked as a carpenter at a woodworking plant, and served in the Navy (in the North).
In 1962-1968 he worked in the city of Kachkanar of the Sverdlovsk region on the construction of the KGOK.
Since 1968 he lived and worked in Zheleznogorsk . In 1968-1983, the foreman of the international (Soviet-Bulgarian) integrated brigade in the Kurskrudstroy trust in the construction of the mining and processing complex and other facilities.
