Club career

Ari began his career at the Valur Club. At 16, he went to the Netherlands, where he spent two seasons at the Heerenveen club. At the end of 2005, he returned to Valur, where he played half the season before signing a contract with the Swedish club Hekken . In 2008, after the club failed to qualify for the Swedish Premier League, Ari signed a contract with Sundsvall Premier League club at the end of the year.
