Titic Puspa ( indone. Titiek Puspa ; November 1, 1937 , Tanjung, South Kalimantan ) is an Indonesian singer, songwriter and actress. Famous singer of popular songs. Nickname. Real name Sudarvati Puspo ( indon. Sudarwati Puspo ).

Short biography

After winning the Indonesian Radio Competition in Semarang in 1954, she was invited as a singer to the Jakarta Studio Orchestra, where she worked until 1962 [2] . Recorded 13 albums and CDs (the first record with the song “The Enduring Candle” was recorded in 1955), she acted in eight films [3] . Repeatedly acted in the presidential palace. A nickname was proposed to her by Indonesian President Sukarno [4] . In 1960, she sang for Nikita Khrushchev , who visited Indonesia with an official visit, the song “ Moscow Nights ”, which she learned in Russian. Known as the author of more than 400 songs (the first "History of Life" was written in 1963). She also starred in 17 commercials and in several operettas on central television (1990s). In 2007, in connection with its 70th anniversary, it prepared the gala-concert “Unfading works of the legend: 70 years of Titic Pusp”, which was attended by Indonesian pop stars and who was honored by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudoyono . Her two songs "Bing" (1973) and "Butterfly" (1977) were included in 2009 in the list of the Indonesian version of the American magazine Rolling Stone as the best Indonesian songs of all time [5] .

Family

Father Tugeno Puspovijoyo, mother of City Mariam. The first husband Zainal Ardhy (1957), radio announcer. The second husband is the jazz pianist Mus Mualim (1935-1991). Two children from the first marriage and two from the second.
