Biography
He organized a pro-Nazi financial-industrial group (Keppler's group, later known as the " circle of friends of the Reichsführer SS ").
In early 1933 he was elected deputy of the Reichstag , and in July he was appointed Reich Commissioner for Economic Affairs. In 1936 he became an adviser to G. Goering on the Four-Year Plan . He participated in the preparation and implementation of the Anschluss of Austria. In 1938 he was sent to Vienna by the Reich Commissioner.
During the Second World War, he worked in the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs , state secretary for special assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1938-1945). He led enterprises and foundations subordinate to the SS . After the defeat of Nazi Germany, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Released in 1951 .
