Geography
The commune is located approximately 410 km south of Paris , 115 km northeast of Bordeaux , 36 km northwest of Perigueux [1] .
In the north of the commune the river flows.
Climate
The climate is temperate oceanic [2] with an average level of precipitation, which falls mainly in winter. Summer here is long and warm, but also quite wet, there are no regular periods of summer drought. The average temperature in January is 5 ° C; in July it is 18 ° C. Occasionally, due to confluence of adverse weather conditions, a short drought may occur or late frosts occur. The climate changes very often, both during the season and from year to year [3] .
