Biography
In 1932 he graduated from the correspondence Higher Geological Exploration Courses at the Leningrad Mining Institute .
He worked as a collector , collaborated at the Moscow Research Institute of Fertilizers (1930-1933), went on exploration of deposits of apatites in the Khibiny and the North Caucasus.
After being arrested on false charges (Article 58), he was imprisoned in 1933, then served a link, worked as a logger, carpenter, and later as a geologist on the construction of railways in the Far East in the OGPU-NKVD-MVD system (1933-1945).
After a short work (1948-1950), a senior geologist and the head of the detachment of the Onega Geological Survey Party of the North-West Geological Administration, was again arrested as a former convict and sent to an “eternal settlement” in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Serving his conclusion, he worked in geological exploration parties in search of bauxites in the Yeniseystroy system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 1955, released from exile; in 1958 I’m rehabilitating. Since 1955, he worked as the chief geologist of the Kazachinsk expedition of the Krasnoyarsk geological department.
In 1961, he joined the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR , a senior researcher, head. Laboratory of Geotectonics (since 1971) and Deputy. Director (since 1980), Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences .
Since 1962 he taught at the Novosibirsk State University : professor (since 1968), head. Department of General Geology and Geology of the USSR (1982-1983).

Memory
He was buried in the Southern cemetery in Novosibirsk.
