Expo 1520 is the only ^[1] railway exhibition of engineering and technology in the 1520 mm gauge space.

The exhibition is held every two years on the territory of the experimental ring in Shcherbinka . The first exhibition EXPO-1520 was held in 2007, however, in general, exhibitions of rolling stock not under this brand in the experimental training ground in Shcherbinka were held earlier. At the same time, demonstration trips and train parades on the territory of the ring are held not only as part of Expo 1520 salons, but also other public events dedicated to various events in the history of Russian railways.

At the exhibition, industrial enterprises present their new models: rolling stock and equipment intended for operation on the “ Russian rut ”, as well as equipment for servicing the railway infrastructure ^[2] . On the territory of the depot and laboratory buildings on the street, new models of rolling stock are shown, and in the pavilions - various components of the rolling stock and train models.

Many models of equipment presented at the exhibition are innovative in nature ^{[3] [4]} .

Demonstration parades of trains are held directly on the ring tracks, during which both historical and new rolling stock are demonstrated. Visitors to the salon may also be given the opportunity to go around the ring in one of the trains.

In 2017, during the EXPO 1520 exhibition, salon visitors were able to see about 30 samples of unique railway equipment that reflect the historical path traveled by Russian railway over the past 120 years. On the first day of the work, more than 8,000 people visited the salon ^[5] .

In 2019, Business Dialog LLC does not hold the EXPO 1520 exhibition ^[6] . This year, at the same place, the International Railway Salon of the space 1520 “PRO // Dvizhenie.Expo” is planned to be held. The exhibition is being held by Gudok Publishing House JSC ^[7] .
