Stafopulo Anastasiy Nikolaevich , rear admiral ; in 1843 he entered the naval cadet corps, at the end of the course in which (1847) he was promoted to midshipman , and then on the frigates "Ceres" and "Konstantin" , the ships "Vladimir" and "Andrey", the transport "Volga" , the schooners Strela and Meteor, and the Swan firebridge tender between 1846–1853, served and performed the usual annual voyages in the Baltic Sea. Made in lieutenants in 1853, he sailed around the world on the corvette Navarin , but the corvette in the German sea crashed, and Stafopulo was forced to return to Kronstadt . In 1859-1860, Being the senior officer on the corvette "Vol", S. made the transition from Kronshtadt to the Mediterranean Sea and visited a number of West European ports. He was seconded in 1864 to the office of the St. Petersburg port and began to study his economy and after 2 years was appointed assistant captain of this port.Stafopulo was promoted to captain of the 2nd rank in 1870, and captain of the 1st rank in 1873. Heading the New Admiralty in St. Petersburg between 1876-1879, he introduced significant improvements to this institution. In 1885, Stafopulo was promoted to rear admiral and dismissed for health reasons. He died on August 27, 1888. During his service he was awarded a number of insignia, including the orders of Anna of the 2nd art. and Vladimir 3rd art.
