“What She's Doing Now” is a song recorded by American country musician Gart Brooks , released as the 3rd single from his third studio album, Ropin 'the Wind (1991). The song was authored by Pat Alger and Garth Brooks himself. The single led the American country hit parade, becoming the eighth leader in the chart of this musical genre in Brooks' music career. Within a few weeks, the song reached number one on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart , remaining at No. 1 for four weeks in February and March 1992 ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ^[4] ^[5] . At the end of the year, the song finished second in Canada ( RPM Top 100 Country Tracks of 1992) ^[6] and 4th in the United States on the Best of 1992: Country Songs list of Billboard ^[7] .
