Geography
It is located on the right bank of the Bryanka River , 3 km from its confluence with Uda , east 44 km from the central part of Ulan-Ude , and 6 km from the town of Onokhoy . It is located 17 km north-west of the district center, the town of Zaigraevo , 2.5 km north-east of the Zaigraevsky highway .

Economics
In Ust-Bryani, the "East Siberian Pig Complex", one of the largest in the region, was built. This allowed to occupy part of the population of the village with work previously lost due to the closure of the broiler factory [3] .
