Biography
In 1976 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Mohammed V University ( Eng. Mohammed V University ) in Rabat. Since 1981, he was an assistant to the governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania.
- 1985-1986 - Minister of Planning,
- 1986-1987 - Minister of Finance of Mauritania,
- 1989-1993 - Ambassador to Japan
- 1993-1996 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania,
- 1999-2003 - Ambassador to Belgium.
Headed the National Regulatory Council.
