The Republican Children's Library named after D. Kh. Mamsurov is the state library of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania , a scientific and methodological center in the field of children's literature, pedagogy, psychology and sociology. Opened in 1967 .

The complex of buildings is located in the center of Vladikavkaz , on Lenin Street , 2.
The library is named after the famous Ossetian poet, prose writer and translator Daba Khabievich Mamsurov (1909–1966) [2] .
Content
History
The library opened in July 1967 . The first director was T.A. Tsomaeva.
By the time of opening, the library fund was 151,560 units of storage.
In 1969, the library was allocated a mansion on the street. Tamaeva , 32.
Since the 1970s , the library has a creative program for the development of a librarian, where librarians improve their skills after graduation. For many years the library has been a place of practical training for students of the Krasnodar State Institute of Culture.
The library was repeatedly presented at the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements .
In 1985, a new spacious building was built for the library, located in the very center of Vladikavkaz, forming together with the Palace of Pioneers and School No. 5 of the city a single complex of buildings for children's institutions (the architect is Anatoly Isaakovich Btemirov).
Since 1999, the library is headed by Liana Aleksandrovna Makieva.

Achievements
- 1st place in the environmental competition among Russian libraries - for the program “To the good journey - the path of knowledge” (the author is the main librarian E. E. Uvarova)
- In 2014, the library received a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of the project “Journey to Lermontov Places” for the 200th anniversary of the birth of M. Yu. Lermontov . [3]
