Biography
He began his career in December 1961, when a talented young man was hired by the artist of the Cherkasy Folk Choir , and from May of that year he became a soloist, worked in the choir until 1964, when he was called up for military service, which took place in the Song Ensemble and dance of the Kiev military district. After military service, he worked as a soloist of the ensemble and at the same time studied at the Kiev Conservatory.
In 1973 he graduated from the Kiev Conservatory (class of professor D. G. Evtushenko ) with a degree in opera and concert singer.
In 1971 - toured in the UK.
In 1973 he won the gold medal of the "X World Festival of Youth and Students " in Berlin (1973). In the same year he became a laureate of the Republican contest of modern songs (I prize).
In the years 1973-1977. - Soloist of the Central Ensemble of Soviet Forces in Germany. He starred in the film of the film studio " Def ", where he sang accompanied by the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra - the aria of Evgeny Onegin from the opera of the same name by P. Tchaikovsky. as well as Russian romances. He performed in the concert program Intervision of the TV program “Golden Note” ( GDR ).

He wrote about 500 works to the Ukrainian Radio funds, published 2 audio tapes of Ukrainian folk songs and romances (in Canada).
Three television films were shot about Vasily Bokoche: “Songs to the Father”, “Romances of J. Matus”, “V. Bokoch Sings”. He performed with tours in Europe and America.
