Create
The 531st fighter aviation regiment was formed from September 1 to December 30, 1941 at the Air Force of the Far Eastern Front at the Chuguevka airfield in the 015/134 state of the 53rd and 304th IAPs (two squadrons on I-153 aircraft, one a on I-16 ) with the inclusion of the Far Eastern Front in the 33rd Air Division of the Air Force.
Disbandment of the Regiment
The 531st Fighter Aviation Regiment was disbanded from April 15 to May 15, 1947 into the 249th IAD with the transfer of personnel and equipment to the 47th, 305th and 781st IAP [1] [2] [3] [four]

Participation in operations and battles
- Soviet-Japanese War:

- Harbino-Girin offensive operation - from August 9, 1945 to September 2, 1945.
Beginning on August 9, 1945, the regiment as part of the division attacked military facilities in the area of Changchun and Harbin, covered the troops of the 1st Red Banner and 5th Armies when breaking through the enemy’s defense. From August 10 to August 17, 1945, he supported the advance of the troops of the 1st Far Eastern Front in the direction of Changchun and Harbin, assisted the troops of the front in capturing the Khutous and Dunninsky Fortified Areas and defeating the enemy’s Mudjiang group.
