The 10th World Youth Hockey Championship was held in Hamilton and Toronto from December 26, 1985 to January 4, 1986 . The title of world champion was played by eight national teams in a circular system. The victory was won by hockey players of the USSR national team , the 2nd place was taken by the Canadian national team . Bronze medals went to the US team .
