Biography
After graduating from the Kiev Conservatory in 1961 (class of professor D. G. Evtushenko ), she made her debut on the stage of the Kiev Opera in the party Carmen.
In 1961-1963 she sang on the stage of the Lviv Opera House .
From December 1963 to 1973 - soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow . In November 1973, she sought political asylum in Italy. She later lived in the USA and Canada. Until 1986, she successfully toured in America and Europe.
About 20 years she was the dean of the opera department of the Washington Conservatory, she headed the opera studio, where she staged several operas: Cossacks beyond the Danube , Carmen , Eugene Onegin , Hansel and Gretel , scenes from Gershwin’s operas.
