Koptevka ( Belorussian. Kaptsyoka ) is an agricultural town , the center of the Koptevsky village council of the Grodno region of the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus . The population of 835 people (2009) [1] .

Geography
The village is located 12 km southeast of the center of Grodno . A small river Koptevchanka, a tributary of the Neman , flows through the village. There is a large road junction on the southern outskirts of the village, the M6 highway ( Minsk - Grodno ) intersects with the P99 highway ( Baranovichi- Grodno). 15 km to the west passes the border with Poland
History
In 1865-1867, a stone Orthodox Assumption Church was built in Koptevka on the site of an older wooden church [2] .
According to the Riga Peace Treaty (1921), Koptevka became part of the interwar Polish Republic , was part of the Grodno region of the Bialystok Voivodeship . During the stay of the village in Poland in 1936-1939, the Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built [3] .
Since 1939, as part of the BSSR . The Catholic church was closed in 1945, converted into a mill [4] . Returned to the Catholic Church in 1991, restored in 1992-2000 [5] .
