History
In 1494, a Catholic parish was founded in Auger (the name of the village until 1785), a wooden church was built.
During the Swedish flood in the middle of the 17th century, the church and the town were completely destroyed. At the end of the same century, Ozha was rebuilt, but slightly away from its former place, on the right bank of the Gozhanka River. The church was also erected in a new place, it contained an icon that was revered as miraculous (preserved to this day) [4] .
In 1862, a neo-Gothic stone church was built in the village of the apostles Peter and Paul on the site of the old wooden [3] . In the First World War, the village was severely damaged by shelling of the Kaiser troops, but the church survived [4] .
Near the temple in the XIX century was built the building of plebania , which has survived to the present day [2] .
In Soviet times, it did not close. There is a parish museum at the temple [5] .
