Zograf, Konstantin Y.

Konstantin Y. Zograf ( May 15, 1854 - 1933 ) - Director of the Moscow Industrial School (1911–1920) and the first director of the school as an institute (1920 - March 1921).

Biography

Born May 15, 1854 in a noble family. His elder brother Nikolai Yuryevich was a professor at Moscow University and a prominent biologist, the older sister Alexandra Yuryevna Zograf-Dulova was a student of Nikolai Rubinstein and a famous pianist, and her younger sister Valentina Yuryevna Zograf-Plaksina was the founder and first director of the Public Music College (now the Academic Musical College Moscow Conservatory ).

He was the director of the Rogozin oil plant, head of the Rostov district of the Yaroslavl province.

June 8, 1911 moved to the post of director of the Moscow Industrial School in memory of the 25th anniversary of the reign of the Emperor Alexander II . Since 1912, Mr .. - Trustee Miuse vocational school named. G. Shelaputina (simultaneously with the directorship at the Moscow Industrial School). In 1918, in his capacity as Chairman of the Presidium, he organized and headed the Moscow Chemical Technical School, and was involved in the creation of the Moscow Institute of Practical Technology. DI Mendeleev and in December 1920 becomes its first director.

In March 1921, according to age (67 years), the management of the MPKhTI, V.P. Panteleev, is transferred and remains a professor of the technology of processing organic matter (oil).

From 1924 to 1927 manages the library MKHTI.

He was buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery in Moscow.
