Biography

Ilya Rolgeiser was born on February 8, 1989 in Omsk . In 1997 he moved to Magnitogorsk .

Amateur career

He started boxing from the fifth grade with trainer Vadim Mikhailovich Abrosimov . He started it from boxing, then moved to kickboxing, combat sambo and hand-to-hand combat, after which he returned to boxing.

In amateur sports since 2008, for five years he made a successful career. Master of Sports in Combat Sambo (2012). Repeated winner and champion of the Chelyabinsk region, Ural Federal District (2011). Silver prize-winner of the Asian part of Russia in combat sambo (2011), prize-winner of the Chelyabinsk and Ural federal districts in kickboxing (2010), winner of All-Russian hand-to-hand combat tournaments (2008). In 2011 he moved to Moscow under the leadership of coach Igor Vasilyevich Smolyanova .

Professional career

He made his debut in professional boxing in June 2013, beating Igor Pilipenko. Then, over the course of 2 years, he conducted three more victorious fights.

On August 22, 2015, he participated in a duel [1] , organized by the Victoty Team team for the first heavyweight champion of Russia title with the current Russian champion Andrei Knyazev . As a result, Ilya Rolgeizer became the first in the history of professional boxing who could claim the title of champion of Russia, having spent only three fights on a professional level.

The fight between Knyazev and Rolgeiser was very tense and lasted all 10 rounds, the judge awarded the victory to Knyazev on points [2] [3] .
