Content
History
Snapseed was developed by Nik Software and was available on iOS , OS X, and Windows . The application was initially only available on the iPad , but has already managed to become the application of the year 2011 according to Apple [1] .
On September 12, 2012, Google took over Nik Software, the developer of Snapseed. At the time of the takeover, the application already existed not only for the iPad , but also for the iPhone and iPod touch [1] .
December 11, 2012 Google introduced Snapseed for Android and updated the application for iOS, making it free [2] .
On April 9, 2015, the first major update for the application was released. New filters and tools have been added [3] .

Snapseed allows you to professionally process photos on your phone or tablet.
Available Processing Tools
- Correction: makes automatic corrections.
- Sharpness: Enhances the sharpness of the image.
- Crop: allows you to crop a picture
- Rotate: allows you to rotate or align the image.
- Rotate / Crop: allows you to crop, rotate and tilt the photo.
- Brush: allows you to apply effects to individual parts of the image
- Selective correction: allows you to correct only selected parts of the image.
- Spot correction: eliminates minor errors (dust, spots).
- Vignette: adjusts the brightness around the image object.

- Blur: draws attention to the subject by blurring the background.
- Spotlight shine: glow effect.
- Tonal contrast: provides fine-tuning of contrast between light and dark areas.
- HDR Effect: Applies the multiple exposure effect.
- Drama: Adds an effect tailored to the photo.
- Grunge: Imposes a color style tailored to a particular photo.
- Coarse Grain: Creates a grainy image.
- Vintage: draws photos in the style of color cinema.
- Retrolux: creates the effect of an aged photo.
- Noir: creates the effect of black and white cinema.
- B / W: Applies a black and white filter.

Features
- When processing the image orientation with small rotations of the picture, the missing parts are automatically added to the program.
- It is possible to cancel any change to the photo, regardless of the sequence of changes.
