General Information
The breed of Russian White goats was formed as a breed by centuries-old national selection of the best aboriginal individuals of the North-Western and Central regions of Russia. The Russian white breed of goats is unpretentious in its content, enduring and adapted to the Russian climatic conditions, and therefore it was the most numerous in Russia. The main breeding areas of the Russian white goat breed were the territories of the central and north-western regions of Russia.
Constitution and exterior
Russian white goats are distinguished by a strong constitution, regular body shapes, characteristic of dairy goats. Coat consists of coarse, often short spine, almost no undercoat. Goats are horned. The suit is predominantly white. Goats are large, well-developed, live weight of goats 40-50 kg, goats 55-70 kg.
Productivity
Milk yield for 7-8 months of lactation is 350-550 kg (up to 800) with a fat content of 4.5-5.0%. The fecundity of the uterus 190-220%. Meat productivity is satisfactory. Goats go to the production of morocco and high-quality chevro.
Distribution areas
Russian goats are bred in home gardens of the northwestern and central regions of the Russian Federation, especially in the Yaroslavl, Moscow, Ivanovo and Leningrad regions.
