Bandikhon ( Uzbek: Bandixon ) is an urban-type village (until the 1990s, a village ) in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan . Administratively subordinate to the Kizirikskum district (until 2010 it was subordinate to the Bandikhon district and was its administrative center, but after its abolition, along with the district it entered the Kiziriksky district) [1] . The village is located 30 kilometers north of the railway station and the city of Kumkurgan . The distance to Termez is about 100 kilometers to the south.

It has the status of an urban-type settlement since the 1990s. The population of the village is more than 10 thousand people (2000). The population is mainly engaged in agricultural work. In addition to agriculture, the village has small private and state enterprises in various sectors of light industry.
Around the village there are many historical hills, including the hills of Bandikhontep, Kindiktep, Gazimullatep and Yalangtushtep. In addition, on the outskirts of the village are the ruins of an ancient dam.
