Xavier, Daniel

Xavier began to engage in archery in 1993. The first major tournament in the career of Xavier was the 2011 Pan American Games . In the individual championship, the Brazilian archer confidently reached the quarter-finals, but there he lost to Mexican Juan Serrano 4: 6. In the team championship, the Brazilians also stumbled at the quarterfinal stage, losing to the Cuban team.

In 2012, Javier took part in his first Olympic Games . In the individual championship, Daniel took 51st place in the qualification and in the first round he met with an archer from Poland Rafal Dobrovolsky and lost to him with a score of 3: 7. At the 2013 World Championships in Turkish Belek, Xavier was unable to overcome the first round in his personal tournament and, together with the Brazilian national team, did not qualify for the main tournament, taking 20th place in the qualification. In 2014, Daniel, along with the Brazilian national team, became the champion of the South American Games . At the 2015 World Cup, Javier was again able to overcome the qualifications of the competitions, but in the first round in a bitter struggle, he lost to the Indian archer. In the team tournament, the Brazilians also managed to break into the main competition grid, but there the South Americans lost to the Australian team.

At the Pan American Games in 2015, Javier successfully completed the first round, but in the 1/8 finals, Daniel lost to his teammate Marcus D'Almeida . In the team championship, the Brazilian national team reached the semifinals, where with a score of 0: 6 they lost to the US team. In the match for third place, the Brazilians were able to take revenge from the Cubans for the defeat of four years ago and won bronze medals of the Pan American Games. As of June 2016, it occupies 97th place in the world rating ^[1] .
