Biography

In 1951 he graduated from the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute. Doctor of geological and mineral sciences, professor.

  • 1951-1961 - Senior, then chief geologist of the Karagaylinsky expedition of the Tsentrkazgeologiya PGO,
  • 1961-1972 - Chief geologist and chief engineer of the Kazakh Geophysical Trust.

Since 1972 - Director of the Kazakhstan Scientific Research Institute of Mineral Raw Materials (KazIMS). Since 1987, at the same time - General Director of the Kazrudgeologiya research and production association, hereinafter the Kaznedra NGO.

The author of more than 250 scientific papers, including 14 monographs. He was the chief editor of the journal "Geology and exploration of the bowels of Kazakhstan", a member of the editorial board of the all-union journal "Soviet geology".

After the collapse of the USSR, he was elected president of the Academy of Mineral Resources of the Republic, first vice-president of the International Academy of Mineral Resources. President of the National Committee of Geologists of Kazakhstan (since 1992) [1] .

Awards and titles

He was awarded the orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, "Kurmet", medals of the USSR and Kazakhstan, diplomas of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR. He was awarded the State Prize of the USSR and KazSSR, honored geologist-prospector of the KazSSR, laureate of prizes named after Academicians K. I. Satpayev and E. A. Buketov [1] .
