Biography
Born July 1, 1896 in the village of Ulievo (now Istra district , Moscow region ). After graduating from the Moscow Mining Academy in 1924, he taught there, while working at various oil research institutes. Member of the RCP (b) since 1919.
- 1924-1930 - Associate Professor, Department of Petroleum Geology, Moscow State University
- since 1934 - Head of the Department of Geology of Oil Fields of the IMI named after I. Gubkin
- 1930—1954 - Dean of the Geological Prospecting Department of the IMI named after I. M. Gubkin
- 1925-1930 - Team Leader at the State Oil Research Institute
- 1934-1958 - Senior Geologist, Head of the Laboratory of the Petroleum Geological Exploration Institute (later the Institute of Petroleum of the USSR Academy of Sciences)
- 1958-1970 - head of the laboratory for the formation of oil and gas deposits at the Institute of Geology and Combustible Mining of the USSR Academy of Sciences
Scientific and Production Achievements
The main works on the geology of oil and gas of the North Caucasus and Azerbaijan. He developed a methodology for the study of mud volcanism and the compilation of forecast maps to justify prospecting for oil and gas. Under his leadership, several oil fields were discovered in the Volga-Ural oil and gas region. Author and co-author of more than 130 scientific papers, among them:
