47th Fighter Aviation Regiment

The 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment ( 47th IAP ) is the military unit of the Air Force of the Red Army , then the USSR Air Force, which took part in the hostilities of the Soviet-Japanese conflict near Lake Hassan , in the Great Patriotic and Soviet-Japanese wars , which became part of the Russian Air Force.

The 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment was formed from June 23 to 27, 1938 in the Special Red Banner Far Eastern Army at the Kamen-Rybolov airdrome on the basis of the 7th and 116th Fighter Aviation Squadrons of the 69th Fighter Aviation Brigade for states 15/828 and 15/806. He joined the 53rd Aviation Brigade [1] .

   

Rename a shelf

  • The 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment on February 11, 1949, together with the 249th Iad, was transferred from the 9th Air Force of the Primorsky Military District to the Air Force of the Pacific Fleet. On March 25, 1949, the 249th Fighter Aviation Division was renamed the 165th Fighter Aviation Division of the Navy and the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment to the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Navy .
  • In 1957, the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Navy Air Force, together with the 165th fighter aviation division of the Navy Air Force, was transferred from the Navy Air Force to the Air Defense Forces. As part of the 165th Iad entered the Separate Far Eastern Air Defense Army (subsequently - 11 OA Air Defense ) and on February 1, 1957 received the name 47th Air Defense Fighter Regiment .
  • In 1980, the 47th fighter aviation regiment was transferred from the air defense forces to the air forces of the Far Eastern Military District and was named the 47th fighter aviation regiment.
  • In 1988, the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment was transferred back from the Air Force to the Air Defense Forces as part of the 11th Air Defense Army and was named the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment .

Disbandment

As a result of the ongoing reform of the Russian Armed Forces, the 47th Fighter Aviation Regiment of Air Defense was disbanded on April 24, 1998 in the 11th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Far Eastern Military District at Unashi Airport ( Golden Valley ).
