Founded in 2008 in Berlin by former member of the Tanzwut group Patrick Lange, acting under the pseudonym Herrmann Ostfront . The peculiarity of the group that distinguishes it from others in this genre is a more aggressive and cruel sound, which is enhanced by the masks and makeup that participants wear [1] .

Title
Previously, the group was called “Ostfront”, but was later changed due to the association with the right-wing movement and to avoid accusations of extremism.
History
Ost + Front was founded in 2008 by Patrick Lange (Herrmann Ostfront), who previously played in Corvus Corax , Tanzwut and Schelmish , and Chris El, who plays in Agonoize .
In 2011, Ost + Front performed at the M'era Luna festival. Two weeks later, Chris left the band, Patrick Lange took his place under the pseudonym Hermann Ostfont, who previously played the guitar. This prevented the timely release of the debut album.
On August 10, 2012, the debut album Ave Maria was released. The album was preceded by the music video “ Ich liebe es ”, on August 28, the album climbed to the 68th line of the German charts.
