The 32nd “A” fighter aviation regiment was formed on July 7, 1941 in the Oryol Military District at st. It is believed that as a result of the reorganization of the 32nd IAP arriving from Zabaykalsky VO in the state 015/134 by dividing the regiment 015/21 into 2 parts on I-16 aircraft.

Disbandment of the Regiment

The 32nd “A” fighter aviation regiment was disbanded on August 5, 1941 in the 11th mixed aviation division, all personnel and materiel were transferred to the re - equipment of the 184th IAP .

First regiment victory in aerial combat

The regiment's first known air victory in World War II was won on July 13, 1941: the senior political instructor A.V. Oborin shot down a German Me-109 fighter in an air battle in the Borkalobovo area.

The results of the regiment's combat activity

The final information on the results of the combat work of the regiment is not available in the documents of the archives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The operational reports of the headquarters of the 11th Garden contain information about losses: 5 I-16 and 1 MiG-3 , as well as about 7 air victories won by pilots of the regiment, as well as about 1 downed balloon.

Distinguished Warriors

  •   Oborin Alexander Vasilievich , senior political officer of the regiment, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated April 10, 1945, was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union as commander of the 483rd fighter aviation regiment. Posthumously.
  •   Oleinik Grigory Nikitovich , pilot of the regiment, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 24, 1943, was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union as deputy commander of the 293rd fighter aviation regiment.
